HOW TO USE THE GAME SCHEDULING RESOLUTION CENTER
STEP 1:
Report the dates and times that you sent game scheduling requests to your opponent in which you and your opponent were BOTH ONLINE TOGETHER , and he either ignored your responses multiple times over a stretched period of time, hid offline, or simply refused to play.
STEP 2:
Admin will send a notice to your opponent, giving him 1 week from time of notice for each unplayed game with that opponent.
STEP 3:
If game(s) is played, the case is closed as a resolved issue without administrative intervention.
If game is still unplayed, a loss is assesed to the avoiding player. An additional loss will be assessed each week until there are no more games left with the accuser.
Notes:
a) Documentation must be detailed to be considered. This includes specific dates and times of requests.
b) Requests must be spread out over a reasonable amount of time. You can NOT send your opponent 3+ messages within 30 minutes while he is engaged in a different match, and consider that multiple requests. In fact, this would be considered harrassment.
c) If your accuser hides from you after filing a complaint in pursuit of a forfeit rather than play, you have the right to challenge the forfeit by documenting your attempts to resolve the issue, in the same manner as filing the original complaint (dates, times, etc)
d) The commissioner is currently considering further penalty for unresolved avoidance, such as reducing the avoiding member's seed assignment the following season. This might be necessary to enforce cooperation from someone that is out of the playoff race and has nothing to lose by receiving a forfeit loss.
e) It is important to understand that this scheduling tool is not to be considered squealing, or ratting-out a fellow member. There is no penalty or other adverse action involved during the first phase when a letter is issued by an admin, requiring a game to be played within 1 week. In fact, using this tool helps keep the pace of the league flowing, and gives all members a fair chance to compete for a playoff bid.
