CONFESSION FROM THE LEAGUE TREASURER

I am very glad we are voting on lots of issues this season because of what I need to confess to the league.

The most recent 2k9 league we had access to was VBA15.

The league website is always where we copied the rulebook from and paste into the current.

After our first election, a new commissioner was elected and took over.

He had to resign due to personal life change. Another commissioner succeeded him, and then finally Redsman944 succeeded the 3rd commish.

All of the seasons (16-18) during this process were deleted after they finished, the new commissioners not knowing that the updated versions of the rulebook and payout structure would be lost.

We are operating with an outdated rulebook. There have been several matters voted upon between VBA 16-18. Luckily, some of those matters are obsolete with this year's game model.

We also posted an outdated payout structure for awards. Unfortunately, by the time we realized this, the payout structure for VBA19 had been published publicly on the league website, and the league was well underway. It would have been unethical to change the structure once published, with people actively competing for those published awards. We have to honor the awards and the percentages as published, and wait for a new season to adjust.

The world series champion of VBA19 is going to earn a lot of money, especially if it is the same person that wins 1st place regular season.

Fortunately, we now use an independent website as the official league website, and this data loss will never happen again.
